Evert-Karel Ditvoorst (1973) graduated in 1998 and gained experience in Brussels from a Dutch law firm the year before he started at Kneppelhout & Korthals as a lawyer. In his early years as a lawyer, Evert-Karel dealt with various jurisdictions. After a few years he began to focus on company law, however, with always the necessary attention to procedural law. A good and practical knowledge of procedural law is the basis for good advice or contract. Evert-Karel's practice focuses on the preparation and assessment of contracts (such as trade, acquisition, shareholders and cooperation agreements, including joint ventures, partnership and v.o.f. contracts) and the conduct of procedures in this regard. Since 2007, Evert-Karel has been a partner at Kneppelhout & Korthals and from 2008 he will lead the Business Law section. As part of further specialisation, Evert-Karel successfully followed the postgraduate course Corporate Structures of the Grotius Academy in 2005. Evert-Karel is a member of the Association Corporate Litigation, the Association Trade Law, NAI Junior Orange and the Dutch Corporate Finance Association (DCFA). Evert-Karel Ditvoorst (1973) is in 1998 afgestudeerd en heeft het jaar voordat hij bij Kneppelhout & Korthals als advocaat begon ervaring opgedaan in Brussel bij een daar gevestigd Nederlands advocatenkantoor. In zijn beginjaren als advocaat heeft Evert-Karel zich met diverse rechtsgebieden bezig gehouden. Na enkele jaren is hij zich op het ondernemingsrecht gaan toeleggen met evenwel altijd de nodige aandacht voor het procesrecht. Een goede en praktische kennis van het procesrecht is immers de basis voor een goed advies of contract. De praktijk van Evert-Karel spitst zich toe op het opstellen en beoordelen van contracten (zoals handels-, overname-, aandeelhouders en samenwerkingsovereenkomsten, waaronder joint ventures, maatschaps- en v.o.f.-contracten) en het voeren van procedures daarover. Sinds 2007 is Evert-Karel partner bij Kneppelhout & Korthals en vanaf 2008 leidt hij de sectie Ondernemingsrecht. In het kader van verdere specialisatie heeft Evert-Karel in 2005 met succes de postacademische opleiding Corporate Structures van de Grotius Academie gevolgd. Evert-Karel is lid van de Vereniging Corporate Litigation, de Vereeniging Handelsrecht, NAI Jong Oranje en de Dutch Corporate Finance Association (DCFA).
