Stephan (1971) graduated from Utrecht University in 1998 in the field of private law. After his graduation he worked at Loyens & Loeff and in 2003 he switched to Ploum Lodder Princen. Stephan has completed the postdoctoral programme Financing & Security at the Grotius Academy and the postdoctoral course Energy Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Stephan's a lawyer and a partner.
Stephan's practice consists primarily of guiding and advising transactions. Part of this is financing and part of it is acquisition mergers and joint ventures. The focus is on larger clients in the broad energy segment, where his knowledge of specialist energy law is very useful. Stephan is head of Ploum Lodder Princen's energy law team and is a member of the Dutch Association for Energy Law. In the Legal 500 of 2009, Stephan is recommended and called "Solution Driven" .

Na zijn afstuderen is hij werkzaam geweest bij Loyens & Loeff en in 2003 is hij overgestapt naar Ploum Lodder Princen. Stephan heeft de postdoctorale opleiding Financiering & Zekerheden aan de Grotius Academie afgerond en de postdoctorale leergang Energierecht aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Stephan is advocaat en partner.
De praktijk van Stephan bestaat primair uit het begeleiden van en adviseren over transacties. Deels zijn dat financieringen en deels zijn het overnames fusies en joint ventures. De nadruk ligt daarbij op grotere cliënten in het brede energiesegment, waar zijn kennis van het specialistische energierecht uitstekend van pas komt. Stephan is hoofd van het energierechtteam van Ploum Lodder Princen en is lid van de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Energierecht. In de Legal 500 van 2009 wordt Stephan aanbevolen en ‘solution driven’ genoemd.
