Lous specialises in corporate law and financial law (bank and securities law). Lous advises multinationals, listed companies, investment firms and investment firms in the areas of securities law and regulation, corporate governance and compliance. Lous is a member of the College of Delegates of the Dutch Order of Lawyers, and is a member of the Executive Board of the Dutch Lawyers. Lous is also a member of the Association for Securities Law.Lous graduated in Dutch law (graduation in Business Law) at Leiden University in 1991 and completed the Grotius Specialization programme Financing & Securitys in 1998. Furthermore, Lous regularly serves as a teacher for courses in the legal field.
Lous is gespecialiseerd in ondernemingsrecht en financieel recht (bank- en effectenrecht). Lous adviseert multinationals, beursgenoteerde ondernemingen, beleggingsondernemingen en beleggingsinstellingen op het gebied van effectenwet- en regelgeving, corporate governance en compliance. Daarbij hoort ook de juridische begeleiding van financieringen, beursnoteringen (zowel aandelen als obligaties, in Nederland maar ook internationaal), bankvergunningen en advisering aan financieringsmaatschappijen.Lous is (plv) lid van het College van Afgevaardigden van de Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten. Voorts is Lous lid van de Vereniging voor Effectenrecht.Lous is afgestudeerd in Nederlands recht (afstudeerrichting bedrijfsrecht) aan de Universiteit Leiden in 1991 en voltooide in 1998 de Grotius specialisatieopleiding Financiering & Zekerheden. Verder fungeert Lous met regelmaat als docent voor cursussen op juridisch gebied.
