- Mr. President... Arnout Gieske (1970) specializes in advising and litigating in the field of intellectual property law (IE). As a trial lawyer, he successfully assisted clients in media issues, in the enforcement of trademarks and in national and international patent disputes. He advises on all aspects of the protection, enforcement and exploitation of IE.Before the change to the legal profession was mr. Gieske, a.o., works as a lecturer in trial and private law at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, he worked at the business chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and at the intellectual property chamber of the Court of Justice in The Hague. Since 2007, mr. Gieske part of the IE, ICT & Media section of Van Diepen Van der Kroef in Amsterdam. As an author, Gieske contributes to authoritative publications, including Text & Comments Civil Procedure, is a member of several trade unions, including the Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (AIPPI), Licensing Executives Society (LES) and the Dutch Association for Procedural Law (NVvP)
Mr. Arnout Gieske (1970) is gespecialiseerd in het adviseren en procederen op het gebied van het intellectueel eigendomsrecht (IE). Als procesadvocaat stond hij met goed gevolg cliënten bij in mediakwesties, bij de handhaving van merken en in nationale en internationale octrooigeschillen. Hij adviseert over alle aspecten van de bescherming, de handhaving en exploitatie van IE.Vóór de overstap naar de advocatuur was mr. Gieske – onder meer – werkzaam als docent proces- en privaatrecht aan de Vrije Universiteit te Amsterdam, werkte hij bij de ondernemingskamer van het gerechtshof Amsterdam en bij de intellectuele eigendomskamer van het gerechtshof 's-Gravenhage. Sinds 2007 maakt mr. Gieske deel uit van de IE, ICT & Media sectie van Van Diepen Van der Kroef te Amsterdam.Mr. Gieske draagt als auteur bij aan gezaghebbende publicaties, waaronder Tekst & Commentaar Burgerlijke Rechtsvordering, is lid van verschillende vakverenigingen, waaronder de Vereniging voor de bescherming van de intellectuele eigendom (AIPPI), Licensing Executives Society (LES) en de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Procesrecht (NVvP)
