Patrick is a specialist in telecommunications, media and competition law. Ever since the liberalisation of the telecommunications market in 1998, he has been advising and litigating on the many complex (access) issues that arise in regulated markets. For example, it acts for different telecom providers in procedures on market analyses in the telecommunications market, interconnection, co-location and leased line tariffs, access to transmission masts and the use and distribution of frequencies. Procedures relating to telecommunications fraud, fines and damages claims arising from infringements of telecommunications legislation are also part of his practice. In the field of media law, he advises and litigates, among other things, on access to cable networks and other distribution platforms, and on advertising and sponsorship rules.Patrick regularly publishes in specialist journals and is a guest lecturer in the postgraduate Telecommunications Law programme of the University of Amsterdam. He has successfully completed the Grotius programme of European and National Competition Law.Patrick works three days a week as a lawyer at Brinkhof. Two days a week, Patrick is an employed lawyer associated with a company.
Patrick is specialist op het terrein van het telecommunicatie-, media- en mededingingsrecht. Al sinds de liberalisering van de telecommunicatiemarkt in 1998 adviseert en procedeert hij over de vele complexe (toegangs)vraagstukken die zich voordoen op gereguleerde markten. Zo treedt hij op voor verschillende telecomaanbieders in procedures over de marktanalyses op de telecommunicatiemarkt, interconnectie, tarieven voor collocatie en huurlijnen, toegang tot zendmasten en het gebruik en de verdeling van frequenties. Ook procedures over telecommunicatiefraude, boetes en schadeclaims als gevolg van overtredingen van de telecommunicatiewetgeving, vormen onderdeel van zijn praktijk. Op het gebied van het mediarecht adviseert en procedeert hij onder meer over de toegang tot de kabelnetwerken en andere distributieplatforms en over reclame- en sponsorregels.Patrick publiceert regelmatig in vakbladen en is gastdocent bij de postacademische opleiding Telecommunicatierecht van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Hij heeft de Grotius-opleiding Europees en Nationaal Mededingingsrecht succesvol afgerond.Patrick is drie dagen per week als advocaat werkzaam bij Brinkhof. Twee dagen per week is Patrick als advocaat in loondienst verbonden aan een onderneming.
