Sylvia Gerdes has been a lawyer since 1995 and has extensive experience in the field of labour law. Sylvia's practice covers the entire field of labour law, including both advisory and process practice. In particular, she has focused on individual dismissal cases (both for employers and for employees at management level), reorganisations, issues related to illness, reintegration and working conditions, the appointment and dismissal of (statutary) directors, flexible employment relationships and relationship and competition clauses.Sylvia also frequently advises on issues of participation, both to employers and to works councils.In 2001, Sylvia successfully completed Erasmus University's specialisation training in Labour Law. She is also a member of the Association of Labour Law Lawyers Netherlands (VAAN) and of the Association for Labour Law.Sylvia is also chairman of the Committee on Objections to her residence.
Sylvia Gerdes is sinds 1995 advocaat en heeft ruime ervaring op het gebied van het arbeidsrecht. Sylvia's praktijk omvat het gehele terrein van het arbeidsrecht, waaronder zowel de advies- als de procespraktijk. Zij heeft zich in het bijzonder toegelegd op individuele ontslagzaken (zowel voor werkgevers als voor werknemers op managementniveau), reorganisaties, vraagstukken met betrekking tot ziekte, re-integratie en arbeidsomstandigheden, de aanstelling en het ontslag van (statutair) directeuren, flexibele arbeidsrelaties en relatie- en concurrentiebedingen.Voorts adviseert zij veelvuldig in medezeggenschapskwesties, zowel aan werkgevers als aan ondernemingsraden.In 2001 heeft Sylvia met goed gevolg de specialisatieopleiding Arbeidsrecht van de Erasmus Universiteit afgerond. Zij is tevens lid van de Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland (VAAN) en van de Vereniging voor Arbeidsrecht.Sylvia is bovendien voorzitter van de Commissie Bezwaarschriften van haar woonplaats.
