Richard Edward Coles

Richard Coles, General Counsel Richard (Rick) Coles joined Garrington as General Counsel upon Liquid Capital’s acquisition of TCE Capital in 2016. As such, he is actively involved in most aspects of Garrington’s business operations but especially its asset-based financing program. Rick is a member of all of the firm’s Investment Committees. Prior to joining Garrington, Rick had been actively engaged in TCE Capital’s business and affairs for over 20 years, first as part of his private law practice and since 2012 full time as an executive and its in- house general legal counsel. In his general commercial law practice, he advised clients ranging from small to medium sized businesses, and their owners, to national enterprises. Rick also had an earlier career in banking and equipment financing. Rick is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association (OBA). He has an LL. B from Western University and an Hons. BA and MBA from University of Toronto.
