Alyn James Matthew Johnson

Alyn 'James' Johnson has six years of experience working as an Associate at Norton Rose Canada LLP in Toronto, and holds a PhD in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Queen’s University (2018). James has represented clients before Ontario courts and tribunals, and before the Federal Court of Canada. He knows how to deploy complex legal resources – statutes, regulations, court and tribunal decisions – to achieve results. James has taught law at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at the Toronto Metropolitan University, and he also holds a PhD in English Literature (1995) and taught for five years as an English Professor at the university level. He has excellent written and oral advocacy skills. James is strongly committed to social, racial, and environmental justice, and to a political and legal system that actively encourages and facilitates the participation of all members of society. He is licensed to practice law in Ontario.
