Kim Patenaude helps clients navigate important career decisions and challenging workplace situations with clear advice, practical strategies, and strong advocacy. Fluently bilingual, she advises and represents professionals, executives, and non-unionized employees in French and English on employment matters.
Whether clients are negotiating an employment contract, responding to a workplace or regulatory complaint, or facing a termination, Kim helps them understand their options and make informed decisions. Her approach focuses on protecting her clients’ rights, reputations, and professional futures while pursuing solutions that reflect their priorities.
Kim’s practice includes employment contract reviews and negotiations, workplace investigations and complaints, discrimination, harassment, accommodation, wrongful and constructive dismissal, severance package reviews and negotiations, and long-term disability benefit claims. She also advises regulated professionals on matters affecting their employment and professional obligations.
Kim has represented employees and public and private sector unions before federal and provincial courts, boards, tribunals, and arbitrators. Drawing on this experience, she develops strategies tailored to each client’s circumstances, negotiates to advance their interests, and provides strong representation when litigation is necessary.
Outside her legal practice, Kim serves as President of the Club Optimiste St-Joseph d’Orléans. She enjoys reading, cooking, kayaking, and cheering on her children at the hockey rink.
