Farhad Shekib

Farhad Shekib is a Toronto litigation lawyer and founding partner of Pinto Shekib LLP, where he represents businesses, shareholders, executives and individuals in complex commercial and civil disputes.

Farhad has represented some of Canada’s largest public and private corporations, including banks, insurers and family-owned enterprises, in high-stakes litigation involving millions of dollars. His practice encompasses commercial and shareholder disputes, real estate litigation, estates and trusts litigation, and employment matters.

An experienced trial lawyer, Farhad has acted as counsel in contested trials, injunction proceedings, summary judgment motions and other significant litigation matters. His experience includes securing injunctions to protect commercial interests, preserving substantial estate assets pending trial, successfully defending employment and human rights claims, and obtaining a jury verdict of nearly $600,000.

Having arrived in Canada as a refugee from Afghanistan, Farhad developed resilience, determination and composure in the face of adversity. These qualities continue to inform his approach to litigation.

Before co-founding Pinto Shekib LLP, Farhad earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. He developed his litigation experience at a leading international Bay Street law firm and a respected Toronto litigation boutique.
