Heather Elizabeth Bonnell

Heather (she/her/hers) is a senior associate in Dentons’ Corporate , Securities and Corporate Finance and Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies group. She advises technology companies and investors on venture financings, PE investments, M&A, and equity incentive plans.

Heather joined Dentons as a summer student and articled with the firm in 2020-2021. She has experience across a wide range of sectors and takes a particular interest in the impact of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) trends on corporate matters.

During law school, Heather co-founded an award-winning club, the Queen’s Venture Law Society, to create opportunities for students interested in the legal side of innovation and entrepreneurship. She was awarded the Denis Marshall Contribution Award in recognition of the contributions she made to the Queen’s Faculty of Law.
