Mohammad Ahad Ahmed

Ahad Ahmed is a senior associate in the Corporate and Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies groups of Dentons’ Toronto office. His practice is primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), venture capital transactions, joint venture formation, private equity, corporate finance and commercial matters. He has significant experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, reorganization, restructuring and financing transactions.

Ahad has acted for domestic and foreign buyers and sellers, private equity funds, family offices and special purpose vehicles on all aspects of public and private M&A transactions, including plans of arrangement, business combinations and negotiated acquisitions. He also brings experience representing high growth emerging technology companies, venture capital funds, issuers, underwriters and investors in debt and equity public offerings, investments, private placements, fund raises and alternative forms of financing. He regularly advises clients operating in a variety of industries, including life sciences, mining, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, healthcare, infrastructure, technology, transportation, food & beverage and manufacturing. He also advises on a broad range of corporate governance and commercial matters, including shareholder and partnership agreements, disputes, procurement processes and commercial contracts.
